StandBot is an Slack app bot for sharing daily stand-up status. Ideal for remote teams or asynchronous colaboration. Custom questions and setings can be selected to make the bot suitable for different use cases and automate meetings.
The app contains an integration with Jira which allows the addition of Jira issues as part of the status, as well as displayed detailed reports inside the Jira project.
I join the Product Design team and start working on conversational design to define and optimize interactions between the bot and users. Through research and customer interviews we designed new features and improvements for the Slack and Jira app which include: an annual billing (formerly only monthly billing was enabled), add frequency options (formerly only weekly basis was enabled), add preview in notifications to explain better the functionality of each one, updating the slack elements to make them more appealing, and more.
January 2021
A play-to-earn app for iOS & Android with engaging battles made for users with music from their favorite artists.
Dynamics to increase the engagement, earn Battle Coins, and exchange for real world and digital perks as concert tickets and power-ups to benefit in the game.
An ambitious project which had an innovative business model behind. I execute the product development process from gathering requirements from stakeholders, handing off to the design team and later involving the development teams (Android, iOS, Backend, and Front-End). Complete owenership of the grooming, demo reviews, planning, retrospectives and daily stand-up ceremonies.
We got to release features to improve the engagement of users like weekly challanges, seting up a store, and a digital currency (Battle Coins), as well as to promote user generated content (the battles between users). We even got a tv show where the app was crucial to decide the winners of the tv show. Check out some of the promotionals in: MUBA Promo.
June 2022
In order to manage the contents displayed in the app, we have to develop different tools that were accesible for Commercial and Catalogue Management teams. Part of my job was to reach different internal teams, understand the requirements, and implement back office tools that allowed these teams to input content to the app.
The design of the back office of the Coomunication & Commercial team required different categories so they can input content and run dynamics in differents sections of the app, for instance we developed a section to upload digital announcement with links to other sections of the app, weekly dynamics that generate leaderboards, and items to a digital store made with shopify.
For the Catalogue Management team, we have to be careful about the changes on the music database, making sure the data ingested were not modified. Metadata in music files is crazy and not standarized, so in order to display properly in the app we developed this tool that add an additional level of information to display and upload music to the app. The back office include a reporting tool with the downloads associated to the original data.
Novemeber 2020
The Compliance Findings Report was the first automated business report generated in CIAL Dun & Bradstreet. As a Product Manager of the Compliance line of business, I was in charge of the creation of the product, starting with the business idea, research, sketching, and prototyping, to then move into development and market launch. Within other sources, the report integrated different third-party sources (APIs), scrapers developed internally, and the company business database.
You can download a sample of the first version following the CFR V1 link. A sample of the second version is available in the CFR V2link.
Within other sources, the report integrated different third-party sources (APIs), scrapers developed internally, and the company business database. This report was available for all costumers in the Latin America region, and after the first release in PDF format, a second version with improvements was created, including an HTML format which allows user interactions and a more dynamic view, visual references in order to support the understanding of the data, as well as additional local sources.

Video format
Product Review is a series of videos in which I go over different digital products analyzing their main features, as well as the value they may offer to their users.
Although this series of videos is not yet share with public audiences, you can review one of these videos on the Forest App Product Review YouTube link, English subtitles have been added.
I like to start the process with a simple storyboard in which I capture the main parts of the video idea, then I moved into the script creation with different notes that must be followed during the recording session. I always try to take extra shots just in case additional footage is required, as well as to immediately back up all the video and voice recording, as sometimes locations cannot be accessed once again for additional recording. Editing is the one of the most time-consuming parts as the one in which I can spend a whole day sitting just to get the result expected. Once the final version is approved, I export with the required settings depending on the platform it would be hosted in.
January 2019
Navigating the analytics of the product and conducting different interviews with customers and customer on boarders, I realized that the installation of a product called DUNS Registered was one of the main issues that kept costumers from taking advantage of the product. To solve this, I created a new version of the installation manual with visual guides as well as a series of videos.
You can download the updated version of the PDF manual on the DUNS Registered Manual link. And Watch one of the videos that I created to guide users through the installation process in DUNS Registered Signature Installation Guide YouTube link (English subtitles available).
This was the first challenge that I had as part of CIAL Dun & Bradstreet, along with working on the internal relaunch of this product from the Sales and Marketing line of business. I took advantage of Design Thinking techniques to involve the Customer On boarders team, trying to understand their workflow, the common issues they face with customers, and together try to come up with solutions to support their process while improving the installation rates of the Web Seal and Email Seal.
December 2019
I had a broad experience working with design teams and marketing agencies. In my experience, video is an activity that is often worked for external agencies, so it is crucial to effectively communicate the idea, result expected, design guidelines, tone, as well as the message that we are trying to transmit, otherwise, the iterations can affect delivery times and budget.
You can review some of the marketing videos I was in charge to create in the Onboard Promo video YouTube link (English subtitles provided).
As with other video projects I usually start with a storyboard, and then move to the script creation. When working with agencies there are additional constrains that must be taken in consideration (length of the video, number of words, complexity of the idea, etc.) and I found useful having enough meetings prior to the execution of the video creation process.
January 2020
After interviewing with different costumers, and gathering their feedback, we identified a lack of understanding on the results provided by the tool. We decided to create a simple traffic light based on the data found to easily indicate the costumer the risk level of the applicant.
On the next YouTube link, you can watch the video created to introduce this new feature with internal teams and users Compliance Watch Traffic Light as well as the New Features Watch Newsletter (English) with this and other features released during this sprint
I started this assessment based on comments from the commercial teams when approaching costumers, and after reviewing the consumption data from these costumers and validating that it was low compared to other costumers, I decided to schedule a set of interviews with these costumers to try to understand the reasons behind. After several sessions, I moved on with the general process of a new development, to then test this feature with the original costumers that reported some issues on the data understanding. Finally, we deployed the feature with the marketing materials and communications required for internal and external audiences.
August 2015
Ever since 2015, I have been interested in different graphic edition tools, which have allowed me to experiment with different techniques, as well as to create professional results that become handy on my daily work.
You can check out some examples on this section, and review the GIFS showed below on the link Concert GIF and Girl GIF. Also, you can review some of my work on different graphic design tools in the Graphic Edition Samples.
I usually start by looking at works from other people, then try to recreate the result expected by reviewing different techiniques and tutorials available on the web. You may see, even though it is more of a hands-on work experience, I have followed several courses in order to have good foundations on tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch.
February 2016
Drawing is an essential skill that have allowed me to convey new ideas and show them to differences audiences. In contrast with other skills, drawing has been by far one of the hardest thing I have tried to accomplish, however, I have learned that with consistency and detailed observation, great results can be accomplished.
In the link drawing samples you will find some of this learning process.
Recently, I enrolled in a new drawing course in which I have been going through the importance of shape, value, contrast, space, perspective, and realistic drawing. Although it is a skill that I am still acquiring, I am confident on my learning process.
October 2020
I started working with 3D modeling as an effort to create solutions to my own room space. Tired of not finding the right designs and appropriate materials for the furniture I was looking for, and with the additional limitation of not being able to see in real life the products I was interested in, I started creating my own on a 3D modeling of my room with SketchUp
You can download a PDF with some models I have created so far in 3D Modeling Samples link.
I started working with a sketch of the model I was intended to create along with the measurements. Then, I move to SketchUp to recreate the space, model the furniture, add some details to make it look more realistic, and finally, put all together.
April 2016
In 2016, I joined Learny Foundation as part of my social service and I developed the 2016 version of the organization website, as well as other landing pages for marketing campaigns. Ever since there, I have worked with other companies to create professional websites designs.
Many of the websites I have worked on in the past are now updated, or they have changed, but you can review some of these works on the images of this section.
I always start with a sketch on paper to then create a digital mock-up that I can share with costumers, so they can get a sense of how the final version would look like, as well as their features. Once everything is validated, I create or select the framework that I am going to be using during the process, to finally write the necessary code to create the website.
August 2017
When working in Digital Virgo, I was in charge of different verticals for mobile products. Based the audience traffic, and other research, I've developed two new subscription products for mobile devices, one to manage expenses, and another with different mobile content for adults.
You can review the different screens of this product on the file Mobile Subscription Products link.
I used as primary source of information the different data about our audiences sent back from Google Ads platform in order to understand more about our audiences captured through campaigns, and realize that many of them come from campaigns related to debt and collections. Then I create a quick deck to present the idea to my manager, and after a few iterations, and validating the commercial, I got a green light to proceed with the development of a Money Management Product, which included a tracking expenses app. For the adult content website, I basically re-use the content from adult sections in our media catalogue and design a new product directed only for adult audiences.
November 2019
After months of user research and customer interviews, I gathered sufficient information to change the design and layout of the DUNS Registered Profile which contained several elements that did not transmit the commercial confidence they were meant to do, so it was time to update with a modern design that really reflected the credibility of the profile companies were expecting.
You can check out the new design live in the DUNS Registered Profile Sample link.
I started this project by analyzing the different benefits and value proposition of the product, so we could really aim to accomplish that through the new design. After several iterations, we come up with a final version, worked by the design team that was later introduced not just in Latin America region, but in the whole world.
March 2016
As intern of the UX and Innovation team at América Móvil, I had the opportunity to be involved in different projects, develop new skills, and have a direct impact on the performance of the website. Among other responsibilities, I was in charge to create the first version of the Buyer Personas, monitor the user behaviour on the website, and design and implement effective popups based on costumer preferences. You can download a sample of the buyer personas developed in the E-Commerce Buyer Persona link.
These projects were definitely the ones that gave the foundations of User Research, and User Experience. Through different quantitative and qualitative techniques I was able to build actionable ideas, that were based on data, and that ultimately, improve certain metric related to user experience.
December 2012
Sailor Moon Foro has been a project that I started early when I was a teenager. It was first created as a blog and hosted on free domain, reaching a user base of more than 10,000 users registered. It is now a project focused on social media presence.
You can check out the live site on Sailor Moon Foro link.
This project was the one that first introduce me to different technologies at a young age, and get me the confidence to work with different digital tools as WordPress, Photoshop, commercial hostings, and HTML and CSS technologies. I was learning by doing, and although now it is not an active project, I try to apply the new learnings that I acquire to keep it relevant.
August 2017
In order to promote some subscription digital products I was in charge in Digital Virgo, I get to create audio ads meant for radio and live podcasts.
You can hear some of these ads on the Mobile Content Product, Films Product, and Games Product links.
I started developing the script, and then after several revisions we hired a professional audio recorder (only voice). Once we got the voice recording, I added different sound effects and adjust the playback speed in order to be suitable for different ad networks.
February 2019
As part of the go-to-market plan of any product it is essential that the people involved in commercial, customer, and operation areas are aware of the general overview of a product, as well as its main features. I had experience providing product trainings in different countries, including Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and other Latin American markets.
On the next link, you can download a sample of the Compliance Engagement Manual that was provided to the commercial teams for further reading, as well as one of the Brochures (Spanish), and Training Decks (English) provided.
Along with the on-site training, different internal materials and marketing collaterals were created including brochures, product presentations, pitch decks, user manuals, marketing and walkthrough videos, email templates, and training presentations. The training design took me around three months, in which I first developed the initial sketching of the documents, define the audiences, contact marketing agencies, aligned with design teams, prepare the agenda proposed to different country managers, and execute the plan defined and the beginning of the process. In order to get feedback about the training quality, at the of each session, an anonymous survey was provides, as well as different quizzes that evaluate the knowledge of the teams in the training provided.
